  • R&D under the spotlight-Promoting safety leadership success: observations from current practice
Stacey is co-director of the Safety Research Unit within the School of Psychology at Liverpool, where she leads a number of research projects on behavioural safety and the factors that encourage effective safety leadership. She has collaborated with leading organizations within the offshore, construction and oil industries in research. While Stacey’s approach draws on psychological theory and research data, it is unashamedly practical in its efforts to propose and effect successful interventions that improve workforce safety.  This has led to a number of funded Liverpool-industry collaborations, including the IOSH funded collaboration with Laing O’Rourke, which is the focus of the talk at IOSH10. Stacey is a Chartered Psychologist and the author of over 30 peer-reviewed journal publications and conference papers.
