NEW INTRINSICALLY SAFE PERSONAL NOISE DOSEMETER

The new Edge 5 personal noise dosemeter is ATEX approved for use whenever the risk of explosive gas exists. This tiny credit card size noise monitor is the most innovative cable free instrument on the market. With the edge 5 there’s no bulky, heavy dosemeter weighing you down. No more worrying about the cable interfering with your work. Weighing just 3 ounces or 85 grams this thin contoured monitor can be shoulder mounted to capture noise data throughout the full working day.

Despite its sleek compact size, the Edge 5 will display 3 separate pieces of data continuously, whilst monitoring and data logging, 12 separate measurements. These include Sound Level, dose %, Leq, max, min, peak, run time etc. You can choose to view the data by scrolling the Edge 5’s simple key pad. Alternatively you can display 3 alternative measurements at you convenience. In addition you will see a visual indication when exposure levels have been exceeded.

The Edge 5 is powered by a high performance, rechargeable battery giving you over 60 hours operation before a recharge is needed. Charging simply requires parking into the Edge-Dock. A Single Dock and 5 way Dock are available. The Dock is also used to down load data to your PC. The powerful but simple data collection and programming software QSPII is used to produce graphs and formatted reports.

The Edge 5 microphone is field replaceable and operates from 70db-140db. A rugged foam windscreen ensures accurate measurement whilst protecting the microphone. The windscreen is conveniently attached to a threaded retainer for maximum protection. You can select A or C weighting, as well as a fast or slow response.

To meet with international standards you can measure noise dose, projected dose, peak level’s C-A weighted data and more. All the data is logged at one minute intervals.
