Visitor FAQs

Q1. Who can attend the IOSH 2012 exhibition?

A. Anyone with a professional interest in, or responsibility for, health and safety, including:

  • health and safety managers, directors, officers and heads
  • health and safety advisers and consultants
  • company directors and senior managers
  • risk and insurance managers
  • fire officers
  • facilities directors and managers.

Q2. How can I register for the IOSH 2012 exhibition?
A. Registration is now open. Register now.

Q3. When will I receive my exhibition entry badge?
A. 1-2 weeks before the show

 


Q4. What happens if I don’t receive my badge before the event?
A. In the unlikely event that you don’t receive your badge, don’t worry. If you come to the registration desk at IOSH 2012, we’ll issue you a new one.

Q5. Can I register onsite?
A. Yes. Simply turn up onsite and complete an IOSH 2012 ticket to receive your entry badge. However, we recommend registering beforehand to avoid having to queue at the event. Register your interest in attending now.

Q6. How much does it cost to enter the exhibition?
A. Entry into the exhibition is free of charge. Register now.

Q8. Can I park my car at the venue?

A. Once you have travelled into the city by car, then the best place to park is the NCP car park on site at Manchester Central. It is open 24 hours and the address details for sat nav are: Lower Mosley Street, Manchester, M2 3GX.

Q9. What facilities are available for visitors with disabilities?

A. Manchester Central’s facilities have been designed to maximise accessibility for all delegates and organisers. The majority of exhibition spaces at Manchester Central are on the ground floor, accessed directly from street level. All first floor facilities can be reached by lift and stairs.

As part of its commitment to making the venue as accessible as possible, Manchester Central has recently undertaken a number of improvements:

  • A £500,000 refurbishment of the toilet facilities in the main exhibition space
  • Removal of cobbles at main venue access points and replacement with smooth paving
  • The installation of highlighted nosing and additional handrails to external steps and ramped access points
  • The installation of Deaf Alerter, the radio-based fire alarm warning and messaging system. To find out more see www.deafalerter.com
  • A programme of training for all staff in disability awareness

Q10. Can I bring children?
A. No. Under-16s are not allowed to attend the exhibition.

Q11. I’m a student – can I attend the event?
A. Students can attend the IOSH 2012 exhibition by prior arrangement only. Please email enquiries@ioshconference.co.uk for more information and guidelines.
